This book was written and published based on extensive research with Hmong elders in China and the best knowledge of the author; therefore, it may or may not reflect the fact or truth of the Hmong history depending on your perspective of the early Hmong ancestors. However, we believe that it is a great start for many Hmong scholars out there to pursue more facts about our Hmong heritage.
It is a must that we find the truth about our history and heritage by ourselves because if we rely on the outsiders, some facts could be altered or twisted so we could end up being the bad guy as a result.
